25 Years Later: 9/11 Through the Eyes of Air Force One
In honor of the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, the Buckhead Club Speaker Series invites you to a powerful and deeply personal afternoon with Wanda Joell, the first African American female flight attendant aboard Air Force One. Wanda's distinguished career in the United States Air Force spans service under four presidential administrations, including Presidents George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama. Throughout her remarkable tenure, she served world leaders and dignitaries while representing our nation at the highest level. Most notably, Wanda was aboard Air Force One on September 11, 2001, witnessing firsthand the events that forever changed America. During those uncertain and historic hours, she provided comfort and support to President George W. Bush and the presidential staff as the nation grappled with an unprecedented tragedy.
